Robert Smith is Founder and CEO of RS Executive Protection, LLC with over 30 years experience working in the security industry. Being a former Police Officer and EMT, Robert is highly educated in law enforcement. He holds a degree in Criminal Justice from Bemidji State University. Mr. Smith has had a variety of other security career experiences including 6 years in the United States Marine Corps as Military Police (MP) and several security positions (including management) in the private sector. Influenced by his experiences as a MP in the Gulf War and Operation Desert Storm, he is a hard working individual that has a lot of persistence and integrity.
Robert achieved Celebrity and VIP Protection Certification from the North American Bodyguard Association (Icon Alumni) and from ASI Bodyguard Training. He has worked as a bodyguard throughout the United States for high level executives and high-profile individuals performing multi-faceted roles. Mr. Smith has provided close protection for numerous notable clients: Al Sharpton, R. Kelly, Neo, former Governor Pawlenty, former Governor Jesse Ventura, Lauren Hill, Eddie Griffin, Minnesota Vikings players: Chester Taylor, Sidney Rice and Adrian Peterson, Mary J. Blige, All for One, Faith Hill, Toby Keith, Trace Adkins, Limp Bizkit and numerous other Celebrities and VIPs.
Robert Smith is licensed to carry firearms in 35 states and is certified as a firearm instructor. He has overseen training for security operations, close protection detail, security agent drivers and advance team operations. He can also provide handgun and basic self-defense instruction in either a one-on-one or group session to help move you or your organization forward.
